The Roof + Hardware
The roof system and the hardware that holds it together are warrantied for the life of the roof. The warranty is transferable to the next owner of the home.
- Transferable lifetime material warranty on the metal roof system (manufacturer-backed; stays with the home on resale)
- 40-year fade warranty on the factory-applied paint finish
- Rated at 140 MPH on qualifying panel systems
- Class A fire rating
- Covered against rust-through, manufacturing defect, and panel failure under the manufacturer's stated terms
- Maintenance: a quick visual check every couple of years (exposed-fastener systems require screw maintenance at year 15)
Our Workmanship
The manufacturer warrants the panel. We warrant how it's installed. The full written workmanship warranty is handed to you in person at the final walk-through.
- Standing seam systems — 50-year workmanship warranty
- Stone-coated systems — 40-year workmanship warranty
- Exposed-fastener (corrugated) systems — 15-year workmanship warranty, with screw maintenance required at year 15
- All terms in writing, handed to you on completion. Covers leaks caused by install defects, subject to the written warranty document.
- Photo documentation of every roof penetration handed to you at the final walk-through
- One point of contact for any post-install issue — the same local number you used to book
The Honest Version
A warranty is only as good as the company behind it. Here's how to read ours.
Why transferable matters
When you sell or pass on the home, the next owner inherits the warranty. That makes a metal roof a real resale asset — not a depreciating expense.
What "lifetime" means
Lifetime warranty covers the life of the original roof system as installed on this structure. Metal roof systems are designed for 40 to 70 years of service. Coverage continues for that span when the roof is installed correctly and maintained per the warranty document.
How transfer works
When you sell or pass on the home, the warranty transfers to the new owner. Transfer requires written notification to Patriot within 30 days of sale. See your warranty document for current transfer terms.
What voids it
Modifications by another contractor (skylights cut in, satellite dishes screwed through panels), structural damage from a separate event, or paint applied after install.
